性质：黄色针状结晶，熔点151～153℃。易溶于乙醇。以硝酸使成酸性后，可与硝酸银生成白色沉淀，其灵敏度可与氯化银媲美。并与汞(或亚汞)盐也产生类似的沉淀。往其硫氰酸与乙醇的混合溶液中加入氯化氢饱和的乙醇溶液，在水浴上加温，边搅拌边滴加硝酸戊酯，并于水冷却下，用氢氧化钠中和制取。用作分析化学试剂。
