性质：又称T细胞。胸腺产生细胞。系淋巴细胞的一类。来源于骨髓的干细胞，为一种未分化的母细胞，到达胸腺(来自卵黄囊和胎儿肝者，在胚胎时期到达胸腺)后，经胸腺素的作用而增殖，分化成具有免疫活性的小淋巴细胞，即为胸腺产生细胞。此类细胞由胸腺再经血液移至周围淋巴组织的胸腺依赖区，而后再回到血液。当受到抗原刺激后，分化为母细胞，可释放出多种淋巴因子，引起细胞免疫反应，故此类细胞称为抗原反应细胞。此类细胞寿命可长达数月至数年，并构成再循环性淋巴细胞的大部分。
