性质:土壤养分通过化学扩散作用迁移到植物根系表面的过程。是土壤供应养分的方式之一。当植物从土壤中吸收的某种养分的数量多于土壤的供应量时,在垂直于根表的土壤范围内会出现该养分的亏缺区,产生浓度梯度,于是,该养分就从高浓度区向低浓度区扩散而渐近于根表,扩散距离一般为0.1~0.5mm。扩散除了决定于浓度外,还受土壤性质的影响。据计算,在通常的土壤条件下,一天的时间内,NO3-可以扩散0.13~0.42cm,K+和H2PO4-分别为0.04~0.13cm和0.001~0.04cm。
