性质:用于食盐溶液电解的电解槽。阴阳两极空间用石板制的隔膜分开,以阻止两极溶液的相互混合,但不影响离子的迁移运动和电流流通。所用阳极材料有石墨、金属阳极。阴极材料为铁丝网、活性阴极等。石棉绒依附在阴极材料上。根据隔膜的安装位置有立式的和卧式的两种。立式的又有长方形(近立方体)的和圆形的。比较重要的电解槽和虎克(Hooker)电解槽、格拉诺尔(Glanor)电解槽、戴曼德-萨姆罗克(Diamand-Shamrock)电解槽和虎克-伍德(Hooker-Uhde)电解槽等。
