性质:是测定液体中溶解氧浓度的电极。现在常用的是覆膜氧电极。电极的阴极是银或铂等贵金属,阳极是锡和铅等活泼的金属,醋酸缓冲液为电解质。两极的反应为:阴极O2+H2O+4e—→4OH—,阴极的贵金属不起反应,只起传递电子作用;阳极2Pb→2Pb2++4e—,阳极须释出电子,故为消耗性的。电极头上包有半透膜,液体中的氧透过半透膜到达阴极,两极之间就产生电子流动,产生电流。氧浓度越大电流越强,溶氧浓度就变成电讯号,经过放大可以在显示仪或记录仪上显示出来。
