性质:液昌基元位于主链上加热至熔点以上形成液晶态的高分子。为使这类液晶高分子具有实用价值,其熔融温度必须低于分解温度。适度降低这类液晶高分子的熔点的有效方法有五种:(1)在主链液晶基元之间引入柔性间隔基团;(2)引入非线性结构单体;(3)在主链液晶基元的芳香环上引入取代基;(4)引入曲柄式单体结构单元;(5)在主链中引入不对称直径的桥链。目前已商品化的热致性主链液晶高分子有以Xydar, Vectra A为代表的热致液晶共聚酯和以Vectra B为代表的聚酯酰胺。
