性质:又称白芷酸,顺甲基-2-丁烯酸,α-甲基巴豆酸,欧白芷酸。单斜棒状结晶或针状及片状结晶,有香辣气味,熔点45℃,沸点185℃ (101.3kPa),86℃(1.60kPa);密度0.983g/cm3(47℃),0.9539g/cm3(76℃)。折射率1.4434。溶于水、乙醇、乙醚,长久的水溶液加热会异构化为惕各酸(tiglic acid),但干燥晶体无此现象。存在于伞形科植物毛当归(Angelica pubescens Maxim.)的根,菊科植物蜂斗菜(Petasites.japonicus Miq.)的根和花,玉蕊科植物布敦玉蕊(Barring tonia butonica L.)等中。由氯乙烷、三苯基膦和丙酮酸用维蒂希反应合成,或以乙醛、α-溴代丙酸乙酯和锌为原料用列福尔马茨基反应合成。可用作镇静剂,也可用作调味品。
