性质:易流动、挥发和极易着火的液体。熔点-122℃,沸点 90.5℃,相对密度0.7360(20/4℃),折射率1.3809,闪点4℃。微溶于水,能与乙醇和其他醚类互溶,易生成爆炸性的过氧化物,因而制造过程不可蒸馏至干,以免引起爆炸

制备方法:1.由正丙醇与硫酸共热脱水而得脱水温度为140-150℃。亦可用苯磺酸代替硫酸。另外,由三氟化硼与醇的加成化合物进行加热;可使正丙醇在载于氧化镁上的镍催化剂作用下,于200℃进行气相脱水都可以制得丙醚。2.正丙醇在载于氧化镁上的镍催化剂作用下,于200℃进行气相脱水,即得丙醚。

用途:用作溶剂及有机合成原料,分析化学中用作化学试剂。
