In order to investigate the inhibiting mechanism of sodium dithiocarbamate (DTC) to the corrosion of mild steel in sulfuric acid, a series of dithiocarbamate corrosion inhibitors were synthesized by using amine and CS_2 as the reactants and were then characterized by IR spectra.
