分子式C8H15O6P，分子量238.17。无色液体，有酯的香味。沸点110～132℃（399.9～533.2帕--3～4mmHg）。微溶于水，溶于有机溶剂。有良好的触杀和内吸作用，也有一定的胃毒和熏蒸作用。特别对棉蚜、红蜘蛛、水稻螟虫等效果明显。可由乙酰乙酸乙酯经氯化生成α-氯代乙酰乙酸乙酯，再和亚磷酸三甲酯作用制得。
