又名兔耳草醛。学名α-甲基对异内基苯基丙醛、p-异丙基-α-甲基苯基丙醛、P-异丙基-α-甲基氢化肉桂醛。无色至浅黄色液体。分子量190.29。密度0.95g/cm3。沸点270℃。闪点l03℃。不溶于水。溶于大多数有机溶剂。以1:1溶于80％乙醇。具有强烈的类似仙客来、君影草的花香香气。
生产方法：主要采用缩合法。以枯茗醛和丙醛为原料，进行缩合反应，然后经催化加氢而得。
用途：醛类合成香料。主要用作丁香、百合、木兰、橙花等花香型香精的调合香料。由于其对碱稳定性好，因此可用作香皂、洗涤剂的香料。
