Based upon the theoretical principles of discourse information transmission and linguistic communicative function,some relevant examples in EST were chosen as main linguistic materials in this empirical study, and the key role of splitting modification in information progression of EST was explored and analyzed from a perspective of ESTwith unique stylistic features.
根据话语信息传递和语言交际功能理论原则,通过甄选科技英语中的相关例证作为实证研究的主要语料,从科技英语这一独特文体的视角探析了分隔修饰在科技英语信息推进中的主要作用,并着重强调了熟知所探讨的这些信息功能对于提高科技英语的阅读、写作和翻译水平的重要意义。
