索摩尔城堡
索摩尔城堡（saumur）现今的建筑物建於十四世纪末，由法王查理五世的哥哥─路易一世(anjou地区的公爵)所建。他以圆柱型的尖塔做为城堡的主要门面结构，以华丽的单眼窗点缀，堂皇的入门阶梯为开端，为文艺復兴时代的先驱。十六世纪末，索摩尔成为新教徒的根据地，而新教徒的统领─duplessis-mornay，便以索摩尔城堡为其住处，并聘请意大利的工程师建造了四周围的城墙。此後，索摩尔城堡成为历代公爵、贵族的居所，不过到了十七世纪末，城堡的主体已经逐渐毁损，渐渐地被遗弃，形同废墟。一直到了二十世纪初，法国政府才下令修復它原本的面貌。
