语法上指能分成两个或两个以上相当于单句的分段的句子，如：梅花才落，杏花又开了ㄧ河不深，可是水太冷 ㄧ明天不下雨，我们上西山去。这三个复句各包含两个分句。同一复句里的分句，说的是有关系的事。一个复句只有一个句终语调，不同于连续的几个单句。参看〖分句〗。
