【冒领】以非法或不正当手段占有他人储蓄存单、存折，到银行提款存款的行为。一般有两种情况:(l)挂失前被冒领，(2)挂失后被冒领。根据《储户存款章程》的有关规定，对前一种情况银行概不负责，对后一种情况则承担赔偿责任。为防止冒领，储户要慎重保管存单、存折，一旦遗失要立即向银行挂失。储蓄人员要提高警惕，认真按操作规程办事，经常向储户宣传预留印鉴、地址、密码的好处，把冒领的可能性降到最低。
