Studying the Continental Redbeds of Yaojia formation,we come to a conclusion that redbeds can lies in underwater environments and summarize the area and thickness of the Redbeds of Yaojia formation that lies main in Sanzhao depression and Chaoyanggou rank and lesser in Qijia-Gulong depression.

Based on the development of the source-reservoir-cap rocks in the Sinian-Middle Triassic marine strata,three assemblages can be divided,of which the lower two assemblages belong to the Lower Marine Assemblage,the other belongs to the Upper Marine Assemblage.
