Twenty two scalation characters of 39 individuals of Ovophis from 12 localities, kept in Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences,were observed, and states of characters and their frequency distribution were analyzed.
通过对成都生物研究所馆藏12个产地39条烙铁头蛇福尔马林液浸标本的22项鳞被性状进行观察记录,分析了各个性状的状态及频率分布,统计分析并确定了山烙铁头蛇与察隅烙头蛇的几个主要识别特征:第1对下唇鳞状态、最大的上唇鳞位、入眶上唇鳞情况、腹鳞数和尾下鳞状态等。

天蛇头 天蛇头 病名。系指部疔疮之一。出《证治准绳·外科》卷三。又名发指，又名蛇头疔、天蛇毒。即手中指或其他手指头所生结毒，焮肿赤痛，或剧烈跳痛。《外科正宗》治天蛇毒初起红肿，发热疼痛彻心者宜用雄黄散。
