性质：又称槲皮素-5-甲基醚-3-鼠李糖苷。黄色针状晶体(由40％甲醇重结晶)。熔点181～185℃。遇三氯化铁呈绿色。其甲醇溶液用浓硫酸与镁进行还原，呈现深红色。含5分子结晶水。将本品用2％硫酸进行水解时，即分解为黄色的杜鹃黄素与鼠李糖。本品为一种类胡萝卜素。存在于白琉球杜鹃(Rhododendron mucronatum G. Don)的花中，由新鲜花4.3kg中可得本品3.6g。由萃取可得。用于试剂及医药工业。
