性质：又称老年素。沉积于神经、心肌、肝脏等组织衰老细胞中的黄褐色不规则小体，内容物为电子密度不等的物质、脂滴、小泡等，是溶酶体作用后剩下不再能被消化的物质而形成的残余体。其积累随年龄增长而增多，是衰老的重要指征之一。见于浅表皮肤者俗称“老年斑”。能用苏丹黑染色，西夫氏过碘酸反应阳性，紫外线照射时发射的荧光波长最大值在430～490nm，可显示微弱溶酶体酶活性。
