于刚，原名李天济，江苏镇江人。中共党员。1940年毕业于四川省立戏剧音乐学校。1937年参加革命工作，历任镇江化装宣传大队队员，徐州流亡化装宣传队员，二十二集团军战地服务团员，中央青年剧社演员，中华剧艺社演出部主任，上海昆仑公司演员，1949年后历任北京电影剧本创作所、上海电影剧本创作所、上海电影制片厂编剧。1939年开始发表作品。
