爬山虎 Pɑrthenocissus tricuspidɑtɑ;Bostonivy 葡萄科爬山虎属落叶藤本。又称爬墙虎、地锦。老枝皮孔明显。卷须短而多分枝,端具吸盘。附山石、墙壁等向上生长,如爬山之虎,因而得名。叶广卵形,互生,先端略呈3尖裂或裂成3小叶,缘有粗齿。花小,黄绿色。浆果蓝黑色。原产中国、日本。适应性强,在中国栽培甚广。性耐寒,喜阴湿,但在向阳处也能迅速生长。枝叶茂密,寿命较长。在潮湿条件下,蔓上易生气根。以扦插繁殖为主,也可用播种或压条繁殖。栽植初期宜重剪,促其多发枝蔓,以防老蔓过早光秃。常用作垂直绿化材料,用以攀附墙面、园林山石或枯树干等,尤其适合高大建筑物墙面的绿化。入秋叶色变为橙黄或砖红色,颇美观。还可用作地被植物,覆盖土面和护坡。
