介绍南宋都城临安城市风貌的著作。共二十卷。南宋吴自牧撰。自牧临安府钱塘(今浙江杭州)人﹐生平事迹不详。
该书成书年代﹐据自序有“时异事殊”﹐“缅怀往事﹐殆犹梦也”之语﹐当在元军攻陷临安之後。所署“甲戌岁中秋日”﹐甲戌即宋度宗咸淳十年(1274)﹐疑传抄有误。该书仿傚《东京梦华录》体例﹐记载南宋临安的郊庙﹑宫殿﹑山川﹑人物﹑市肆﹑物产﹑户口﹑风俗﹑百工﹑杂戏和寺观﹑学校等﹐为瞭解南宋城市经济活动﹐手工业﹑商业发展情况﹐市民的经济文化生活﹐特别是都城的面貌﹐提供了较丰富的史料。书中妓乐﹑百戏伎艺﹑角觝﹑小说讲经史诸节﹐为宋代文艺的珍贵资料。
1956年﹐上海古典文学出版社根据《知不足斋丛书》本校点排印﹐收入《东京梦华录(外四种)》。1984年﹐浙江人民出版社依同一版本校点﹐出版了单行本。
