Combined with project survey,it analyzes the reasons generating crack on the board casting in place of house from the aspects of the structural stiffness break,not installing desirable dilatation joint,steel bar fall on bearing,temperature,shrinkage etc,and brings forward corresponding prevention measures,which will eradicate the crack on the board casting in place.

A simplified formula was developed to calculate the local structural stiffness of each bump of the bump foil with the consideration of frictions between bump foil and its contact surfaces,and the influences of different parameters on the structural stiffness were analyzed.

Using the concept of load capacity coefficient,the effect of the variations of structural stiffness in circumferential,axial and radical directions on the performance of load capacity of foil bearing were analyzed.
