The powders of Ca-doped lanthanum chro-mites prepared by solid state method individually were mixed with the powders of refractory ZrO2, CaO, MgO, SiO2 and Al2O3 in some proportion, and sintered at 1650 and 1700 ℃ after compression moulding, re- spectively, then sintered characteristics of the complex oxides based on Ca-doped lanthanum chromites were studied.

It is shown that both decomposition of organic component and formation of Ca-doped lanthanum chromites powders can be completed in a direct step of the polymeric gel combustion.

With the extensive use of doped Lanthanum Chromites (LaCrO_3) in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs), the improvement progress of preparation methods to get superfine powders were accelerated.

A new erbium-doped lanthanum calcium borate crystal(Er~(3+):La_2CaB_(10)O_(19),Er:LCB) was synthesized and grown,and the concentrations of Er~(3+) ions were also analyzed.
