又称“B淋巴细胞”。因其在禽类法氏囊发育生成,故也称囊依赖性淋巴细胞。而哺乳类动物可能是在骨髓等器官中发育而成,故称骨髓依赖性淋巴细胞。其主要功能是接受抗原刺激后,分化增殖为浆细胞,合成抗体发挥体液免疫功能。
