由一个受精卵分裂而形成的双胎儿。其特点是两个胎儿性别相同,外貌、性格也极相似。大多数只有一个胎盘,两个胎儿的血液循环经胎盘相通。两个胎囊的间隔由两层羊膜组成。少数有两个胎盘及各自的羊膜和绒毛膜,致胎囊间隔由两层绒毛羊膜组成。个别单卵双胎儿可共存于同一个羊膜腔中。遗传标记相同。正确的判断有赖于遗传标记及其后的追踪观察。
