法清。严陵人也。貌●硕而言清亮。多见耆宿。所至嘿嘿。不炫耀知见。触之则发。人无识之者。尝于池之天宁。以伽梨蒙首而坐。适侍郎曾开入寺。见而问曰。上座仙乡何处。曰严州。曰与此间。是同是别。师拽伽梨下地。揖曰。官人曾到严州否。曾罔措。师曰。待官人到严州时。却向官人道。既而游径山。佛日请为座元。师辞曰。一千七百大众。皆是英人杰。安敢行立其前耶。坚不允。佛日曰。只如举一不得举二放过。一著落在第二意作么生。师曰。惺惺底惺。懵懂底懵懂。佛日曰。如何做径山首座不得。遂与众送归寮。后开法隆兴之九仙。嗣慧日盐和尚。雅和尚。复有嗣曰法因者。平江人。年二十四进具。游方见雅于东林。诸天以灵云见桃因缘。拟对。雅摇手曰。不是不是。忽有省。呈偈曰。●上桃花开。花从何处来。灵云才一见。回首舞三台。雅曰。子所见。虽巳入微。更著鞭。当明大法。遂承教。居卢阜三十年。不与世接。丛林尊之曰庵主。建炎中。盗起顺流。东归。邑人结庵奉之。问道者继踵。尝谓众曰。汝等饱持定力无忧。晨炊而事干求也。晚年放浪自若。称五松散人
