By analyzing the good time-frequency properties of wavelet packet transform and according to the different wavelet properties between the signal and noise,the method of using floating threshold to denoise is adopted which realizes the weak signal detection at low signal-to-noise ratio.

In this paper,a new signal denoising algorithm based on the best wavelet packet basis which adopts Shannon entropy and the floating threshold is discussed,and is used in the signal denoising of the anti-ship missile s gyro.
