苏联对全国广播的中央广播电台。受苏联国家电视与广播委员会领导。台址设在莫斯科。1922年创建。办有11套节目，每昼夜累计播出209小时。其中5套为基本节目：第 1套是综合性的新闻、社会、政治和文艺节目。第 2 套名为" 灯塔广播电台"，主要广播新闻和音乐。第 3套为文艺节目。第4套为立体声音乐。第5套对在国外的苏联人广播。还有 6套是第1套和第3套的复制节目，分别对时差较大的地区广播。该台的主要节目之一是新闻，每昼夜共播出 130次，累计超过26小时。1987年苏联全国共有收音机和有线广播喇叭 18740万架，国内各地一般都能听到该台的广播。
