| 关羽（？～220） 中国东汉末将领。字云长，本字长生。河东解县（今山西临猗西南）人。早年随刘备起兵，曾参与镇压黄巾起义，后守下邳(今江苏邳州南)。东汉建安五年(200)，为曹操擒获，授偏将军。在官渡之战中，为曹军先锋，斩杀袁绍大将颜良，封汉寿亭侯。不久回归刘备。十三年，关羽所领的万余水军作为刘备军主力，与孙权联合，大败曹军于赤壁。此后镇守荆州。官至前将军。二十四年秋，出兵攻襄阳、樊城(今属湖北)，乘汉水泛滥，迫降曹将于禁，擒杀庞德，围困曹仁、吕常，威胁中原。后因曹操遣兵增援，吴将吕蒙乘虚袭取江陵(今属湖北)，关羽败走麦城(今湖北当阳东南)。十二月，为吴军擒杀于临沮章乡(今湖北远安境)。关羽作战勇猛，指挥果断，但骄傲自负。后被神化为关帝，在民间影响颇大。 |
