唐代墓誌釋文,散見於各書而且校釋水平不一,加上墓誌本身的殘缺、泐蝕都給釋讀带來了不少麻煩,釋文免不了出現錯、訛、漏、缺以及標點失誤等現象。

河南洛阳发现的北魏孝昌二年 (526)元乂墓墓顶所绘星图。直径约7米，画星300余颗，若干星座用联线标明，绝大多数可以辨识。有些汉墓在墓室顶部已画星图，但多是象征性的，星数太少，位置也不准确。元乂墓星图是中国已知最早的较详细的星图。
