2 iyuan yu huanjing xinxi xitong guojia zhongdianshiyanshi资源与环境信息系统国家重点实验室(state Keyhab-orato巧Of Resources and Environrnenth而nnation System)中国地理信息系统应用基础研究和应用研究的中心之一。隶属于中国科学院地理研究所，1985年由国家计划委员会和中国科学院联合支持组建，1987年经国家验收，正式对国内外开放，1989年被接纳为国家遥感中心地理信息系统部。该实验室以地学为基础，综合运用系统科学和信息科学的方法与技术手段，研究地理信息系统中的基础和前沿课题，开拓新的应用领域，并侧重在:①地理信息的机理研究;②空间信息的时空分析模型的理论、方法、建模和软件研究;③空间信息的传输、网络和系统集成的关键技术研究;④地理信息系统的标准、规范、数据共享和立法研究。 最近5年，实验室主持和参加了重大自然灾害监测与评估、城市信息系统、大面积水稻估产、海岸带区域持续发展与全球变化的区域模式、地理信息软件系统和集成技术、地理信息系统的标准与规模等6个主要方面研究，承担和完成了国家科技攻关、自然科学基金、国际合作和区域合作等58个课题。 实验室实行学术委员会监督下的室主任负责制，贯彻开放、流动、联合和竞争的方针。实验室学术委员会由24名中外著名科学家组成、具有广泛的国际性、权威性和代表性。历届实验室的负责人为陈述彭院士，何建邦教授，周成虎教授。(何建邦)
