电流几乎大小相等、方向相反的环流,屏蔽了壳外磁场,从而解决了附近钢结构感应损耗发热问题,导体所受短路电动力也大为减少(只有无外壳时的20%~30%),因此是目前采用最广泛的一种。③外壳接饱和电抗器式,外壳的一端各相经一速饱和电抗器连接在一起再接地。饱和电抗器在正常运行时处于非饱和状态,借以增加外壳回路的电抗,减少外壳环流损耗,但附近钢结构感应电能损耗却有所增加,而且增加了电抗器的电能损耗和投资.多数认为是不经济的,因此,未得到广泛推广采用.封闭母线的冷却方式有自然冷却式和强制通风冷却式两种。大容量发电机采用后者。通风冷却一般利用外壳作为通风道。
