中国研究民族语言文字的群众性学术团体。成立于1979年 5月。其宗旨是团结和组织中国民族语言研究工作者开展民族语文研究，推动学术交流。在北京设有理事会。1980年12月在北京举行了中国民族语言学术讨论会;1982年5月在四川成都举行了全国壮侗藏缅苗瑶语言学术讨论会。1984年 8月在哈尔滨举行了第二次中国民族语言学术讨论会。会员已发展到400多人。
