| 大别山 位于中国湖北省、河南省、安徽省交界处。东南西北走向。西接桐柏山，东为张八岭，三者合称淮阳山。长江、淮河的分水岭。长 270 千米，褶皱断块山。主峰天堂寨，海拔1729米，位于湖北省罗田县东北；白马尖（一称霍山），海拔1774米，位于安徽省霍山县南。山地被断层分割成许多菱形断块，东南侧黄梅到桐城一带，山麓线挺直，山坡陡到50°以上，是明显的断层崖。山地南北侧修建了许多水库，有梅山、佛子岭、白莲河等水库。原来森林葱郁，但遭长期破坏，覆盖率低，水土流失严重，水库淤塞严重。现存森林以马尾松、杉、栎为主。大别山区是中国茶叶主产区，其中皖西六安瓜片、豫南信阳毛尖、鄂东北的汉绿都是有名的品种。板栗、油桐、油茶、乌桕、漆树等经济林木在低山丘陵区广布。 |
