1.高大的宫阙。 2.古地名。在今内蒙古杭锦后旗西北。阴山山脉至此中断，成一缺口，望若门阙，故名。战国赵武灵王向北开拓疆土﹐沿阴山筑长城至此;西汉时卫青领兵出此，与匈奴右贤王作战。北魏置戍，隶沃野镇。
