Since not much domestic research has been made on this novel, and Lessing\'s novels are often regarded as the feminist texts to research, this thesis attempts to interpret The Good Terrorist from the perspective of feminist criticism and explore Lessing\'s feminist ideas, hoping to contribute a little to domestic research on Lessing\'s works.

Incorporating three basic topics of African American motherhood with Walker’s womanist ideas, this thesis seeks to examine that womanist motherhood should include three important aspects, namely nurturing and preserving children, passing on the African American culture, and loving and unifying all people.
