On the basis of set partitioning in hierarchical trees(SPIHT),the structure of LBT coefficients is analyzed and a modified zerotree coding algorithm uses techniques of the zerotree structure speediness inspection and the linear index.

To determine the accurate clustering number automatically, many validation index functions were used to estimate the validity of different clustering algorithms so as to select the most appropriate one for ranging images.
