This paper analyses the reasons why psychological inferiority comes into being from different angles, such as the disparity between the rich and the poor, the cultural differences between urban and rural areas, different growing environment and individual psychological factors.

Through the analysis on the causes of inferiority mentality from the perspectives of language potentials,personality potentials,learning context and learning community,this thesis aims to explore the ways to get rid of inferiority mentality and achieve the optimal foreign language learning effect.
