The resource-based view is an important part in the field of strategic management, but as to the conception and type of firm resource, there is no united idea.

Taking the resource-based theory of the firm as theoretical instrument,this paper decomposes firm resource system into two layers: Supportive resources and primary resources,and proposes direct and indirect models which differently elaborate influencing paths from firm resources and capabilities to competitive advantage.

The firm resource is the foundation and source of the competitive advantage,the competitive advantage is the footstone of firm survival and development.

Based on the resource-based view and the agency theory, this article analyzes the impacts of firm resources on internationalization, and further analyzes the moderating effects of ownership property.
