廉江中学创办于1919年，是一所具有悠久 历史和光荣传统的重点中学。她钟灵毓秀，地灵人杰，英才辈出，革命先驱关泽恩曾就读于廉中，曾在廉中就读后来成为省、部级以上军政干部的7人，教授（研究员）28人。学校现有教学班58个，学生3641人。
