| 社团 mass organizations 具有某些共同特征的人相聚而成的互益组织。中国的社团一般具有非盈利和民间化两种基本组织特征。社团与政府组织、非正式组织或自然群体有着明显的区别。社团可依其性质分为政治性、经济性、科技、军事、外交、文化体育、健康卫生及宗教团体等；依其成员间的联系纽带分为生理、社会、精神物质以及由个体所属组织功能等方面因素结成的四类团体；亦可依其民间性程度分为官办、民办、半官办3类。社团的结成基于两方面的社会需要，一是基于成员的需要，执行为成员谋取利益的服务职能；二是基于政府的需要，履行服从国家利益的管理职能。其社会功能包括：满足其成员发展的需要，包括知识技能的增长、社会交往、社会承认以及获得新的发展途径等；维护成员权益，包括对个人利益及群体利益的维护；参政议政；政府助手，担负着对各自社会成分的管理职能；经济参与，承担经济信息的沟通、开展生产活动、参与市场活动等；参与社会公益活动。 |
