After the founding of the Wei Kingdom, Wang Can (王粲)was appointed the Shizhong(侍中,an official as the emperor s retinue or aide de camp)and was in charge of rebuilding the ceremonial system destroyed by war in the last years of the Later Han Dynasty.

| 中常侍 中国西汉时皇帝近臣，给事左右，职掌顾问应对。中常侍是仅有虚衔的加官。西汉前期只有常侍之名，或称常侍郎，为郎官之一，获此号者多为皇帝爱幸之臣，武帝时东方朔曾为常侍郎。中常侍之名出现于西汉晚期，元帝时有中常侍许嘉。东汉时中常侍已非加官，而成为有具体职掌的官职。其秩为千石，后又增为比二千石，本无员数，明帝时定为4人。东汉初改变西汉制度，多以宦者担任此职，如章帝、和帝时，郑众、蔡伦都从小黄门迁为中常侍。安帝时，和熹邓皇后临朝，中常侍都任用宦官，并授以重任。从此以后，居此位的宦官竟可权倾人主，员数也从4人增加到10人，东汉末增加到12人。这个官职对东汉末中央政权走向衰乱产生过较大影响。 |
