湖北省荆州市朱河镇建设村位于湖北省荆州市朱河镇，比邻洪湖和洞庭湖，在长江之畔，风景优美，自古是兵家必争之宝地，朱河镇地处风景秀丽的洪湖西岸，紧傍黄金水道长江，距国家开发区岳阳40公里，长江开放港口城陵矶30公里，水陆交通便利，荆岳公路、荆洪公路穿境而过，是湘鄂两省四县市农副产品集散地。有版图面积123.7平方公里，城区面积10平方公里，总人口逾10万，辖50个村，3个居委会。
建设自古繁荣，素有“小汉口”、“金朱河”、“香港市场”之誉。自宋朝立埠，至乾隆年间，“市廛殷盛，客商云集”。黄少山、沈万山等名商巨贾发迹于此。
建设工业基础雄厚，有城镇工业30家，初步形成了轻工业、纺织、建材、冶金、食品等门类比较齐全的工业体系，尤其是纺织业，规模已达到10万锭。先后有“荆楚牌”腐乳等三种产品称号和省金鹤奖，机耕船获国家金奖，耕整机获省科技成果奖，黄麻轻纺厂生产的麻绒球、麻布片、彩色麻织袋远销日本。
朱河是省政府批建的中心城镇，目前已建成了具有无线、光纤、数据传输等一批现代化通讯设备的邮电大楼、长江自来水厂、豪华宾馆、大型超市。二、三产业的长足发展，奠定了朱河作为监南中心城镇的地位。总产值7.92亿元，工商入库税金1100万元，财政收入2190万元，在全市乡镇综合经济实力评估中，朱河排列第3名，被中共荆州市委评为“乡镇10面红旗党委”。
