玉东区块是鲁克沁稠油的主力区块,油田类型为断块型边底水超深层稠油油藏,油藏埋深2 500～3 200 m,探明石油地质储量3 757×10~4t,在鲁2块常规注水开发取得成功的基础上,玉东区块于2007年底开始逐步投入注水开发,目前35%的注水井组呈现出受效特征,主要表现为油井液量上升、动液面回升、递减减缓。
