性质:  高温气冷堆的燃料元件的核心部分。它是直径为500μm的二氧化铀的燃料颗粒,也可以是二氧化钍、二氧化铀的混合氧化物或碳化物、氮化物颗粒,用溶胶凝胶法制备。颗粒外面为2~3个包覆层,用以贮存裂变气体和将裂变产物阻留在包覆颗粒内。二氧化铀中235U的加浓度在无二氧化钍存在时为10%~20%,烧完后可不后处理。有二氧化钍存在时,235U的加浓度约为90%左右,烧过后要后处理。
