石燕岩采石遗址
石燕岩采石遗址在西樵镇西樵山狮脑峰东南面，因洞曾盛产石燕得名“石燕岩”，包括“天窗框”、“石屏风”，“石祠堂”等处，石燕岩质多为红色粗面岩，石料最适合建房子之用，西樵山下有村名“石岗圩”，是当年石匠在此采石到山下圩上作贸易场所而得名，西樵附近一带的建筑、舂臼、石柱、夹柱石，均是此种石料。明以前多为露天开采，明以后发展为洞穴开采以斜井掘进采石，天窗格是此种方法开采，洞内人工采石痕迹明显，洞中有开采石料留下的支撑柱，横如列屏， 把洞截分成内外两进，因长年累月开采及天长日久受侵蚀风化渍水成湖，可泛舟内进，形成洞内“水上汽车”、“水底牌坊”、“石屏风”、“石祠堂”、“天窗框”等景观。
