图形对象的形式表示。图形对象是指图元（primitive）和图段（segment）。图元有点、线、面、字符、符号、像元阵列等。图段是由图元组成，例如房子中的门、窗；对每个图元的几何形状要用坐标位置，字符编码及字高、方位，字符的纵横比，像元阵列及其参考位置，相关的颜色属性加以描述后实现存贮。在地理信息系统中一般指矢量数据。
