我国第三代便携式防空导弹，为单兵肩扛式，可拦截低空和超低空的战斗机、轰炸机和直升机。有很强的抗干扰能力，可从红外背景(如发光的云朵、地面物体和红外诱饵)中识别目标，有敌我识别能力。导弹可安装在车辆、小艇和直升机上。
fn-6导弹由中国精密机械进出口公司研制，射高15 - 3500米，射程500 - 5000米，可以迎头攻击飞行速度为360米/秒的目标，尾追攻击飞行速度为300米/秒的目标，单发杀伤概
率为70%。
导弹直径72毫米，长1.495米。导弹尾部有4片固定弹翼，前部有4片控制舵。引导头前方是金字塔形，有一个4单元红外探测器。
战斗中的fn-6系统包括一个光学瞄准装置，安装在发射筒左侧，发射筒前部上方还安装有敌我识别器。电池和冷却器安装在发射筒前下方的握把上，系统全重16千克。
