As radar waveforms, ultra-wideband chaotic signals have goodresolution of distance and velocity, low probability of interception, andstrong properties of ECCM.

Thanks to the ideal cross-correlation function of the chaotic wideband signals,a wideband chaotic FMCW radar concept with digital processing is introduced in this paper,in which the chaotic FM signal is used to replace the conventional signals of LFMCW radar.

Transmitting training bits and adopting reasonable mathematical modeling are adopted to realize UWB signal synchronization.

UWB signal digitization depends, to a large extent, on the accuracy of sampling time.

Then,a method exploiting the techniques of intersection of spectrum and multi-channel synthesis is presented to fulfill the pulse compression of the ultra-wideband signal.

Application of wavelet analysis in identifying chaotic signal;

On the base o f self similitude of periodic signal and the characteristic of chaos like white noise,an algorithm for the determination of hidden periodic regimes in time series data is put forward.

A chaos signal is a deterministic signal but has highly unpredictable and random nature.
